Who's the best Leading Man?

I'm doing a poll at the side of my blog.  If you've read my Alpine series (The Broken Road, Taking Chances, and Makeover) you'll be familiar with these guys.  Do me a favor and let me know which one you liked.  I want to know what works for you and what doesn't. I'm getting ready to start a new project and I want to hit this one out of the park.  I've read so many good books where I have been put off by the leading man for one reason or another and didn't enjoy it as much as I could have.  On the other hand, who doesn't like the classic Bad Boy?  What do you think? If you can, tell me what the #1 thing is you look for in a leading man when you're reading.

I don't need devistatingly handsome or dark and brooding. I need a guy who listens and can make me laugh. If he'll open my door, even better.

Good luck with your project. I'm intreagued. :)

Tamra I like you point, but what about having it all? Tall, dark and polite anyone? :) And thanks for the input! Love your books by the way. (Tamra Torero is Tamra Norton - famous LDS author)

Haha... Fabulous, maybe. Famous--not so much! :) Okay, it would be nice to have it all, but does this mystery man actually exist outside of our favorite books??!!! And then, when someone actually does a good job at creating him, he turns out to be a vampire!!! (Okay, kidding!) But, what the heck... We're writing fiction, so let's give our readers what they want--handsome, sensative, polite, passionate, rugged AND funny! Personally, my dream guy must also have a Peruvian accent and be a good cook! :)

Hence the last name Torero I'm assumming? But you're right about the vampire thing. Why else would Twilight ensnare the entire world? The perfect leading man and politeness. Who cares if he's a death machine? The man can open a door like no other :)
